The Social Affairs Bureau noted that the “Dajia Women's Path” has reached its third year, with 11 guides trained thus far. In April, a parent-child group from the northern region responded to the Dajia Mazu Pilgrimage by organizing a 10-day experiential program in the central coastal townships, and “Dajia Women's Path” was included. The children showed keen interest and enthusiasm for the tour themes, listening attentively as the guides introduced landmarks such as the three pairs of stone lions at Zhenlan Temple, the Lin Chastity Archway, butter pastries, and the bulrush industry. By participating in the tour, they have gained a deeper understanding of local gender equality landmarks and cultural industries, making it a meaningful learning experience.
The Social Affairs Bureau also noted that this year's Gender Equality Officials Consensus Camp took a different approach from previous indoor courses, aiming to spark interest in learning among participants. Following visits to various sites, group discussions were organized to combine experiences and viewpoints from different departments to brainstorm practical strategies for boosting the number and impact of local women's power in Taichung. This initiative not only fosters cross-agency collaboration but also deepens appreciation for the value and significance of promoting innovative solutions for local gender equality.
The Social Affairs Bureau added that “Dajia Women's Path” conveys the stories of Dajia, with local female guides introducing the public to Dajia’s hidden treasures and notable women from various eras, alongside addressing gender issues. Together, they delve into the legacy and warmth of Dajia. Interested individuals are invited to register for the event via the provided link (https://reurl.cc/KeKvx9).
